Summer Field Meet - Weekend 9th - 10th June 2007
The mines of the Gwydyr Forest, Gwynedd
19th & 20th Century mining in the Llanrwst Orefield - Conservation & Restoration
Based at the Eagles Hotel, Llanrwst

As to the programme of events, this was as follows:
  •  Saturday, 9th June - Mines of the Gwydyr Nant: Hafna, Llanrwst and Cyffdy – restoration and conservation.

    Leaders Raymond Griffith and Neil Weston.
    Meet at 11:00am at Hafna Mine car park SH 781 601.  The day’s activity took the form of a 5 kilometre walk visiting all three sites, together with the minor sites passed on the way, looking at the archaeology and the restoration treatments these mines have received.
    Mole and Roy Fellows led trips in Pandora mine for those that wanted to explore the workings below ground.

  •  Saturday Evening - The evening meal, was 7:00pm for 7:30pm at the Eagles Hotel, Ancaster Square, Llanrwst, Conwy LL26 0LG.

  •  Sunday, 10th June - Mines of the Geirionydd area: New Pandora and Klondike.

    Leaders Raymond Griffith and Neil Weston.
    Met at 11:00am at the lakeside car park SH 763 605 (fee payable).  The day’s activity comprised a 4.5 kilometre return walk to the Klondike mine taking in other sites on the way and looking at various surface features of this remarkable site and mill.
