Saturday - Meet at 11 a.m. at the bridge
in Bontddu (NGR SH 669 186 - View
OS Map). Members walked to the Vigra mine where packed
lunches were consumed. In the afternoon a visit was made to Clogau/Old
Clogau or alternatively some members took a look into some of the open
stopes above the upper dressing floor at Vigra.

A slide presentation was given by Harold Morris on some of the more recent
mining activity at Clogau, followed by another presentation by Chris Williams
on some of the plates by J. C. Burrow of Cornish mines at work in the late
1800's.

Sunday - Meet at 10 a.m. at forestry
lay-by above Tyn y groes Hotel, Ganllwyd, (NGR SH 716 236 - View
OS Map), for a visit to Cefn Coch Mine and the earlier Berllwyd
Mill. After lunch at the rendezvous point, members visited Glasdir
Copper Mine for a surface tour by Harold Morris, or for a scramble
down into the open works with Bryan Grimstone.
